The agreement

Family Trees is provided by C6 Labs. By using the app you agree to these terms. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to apps bought from the App Store, and where it conflicts with these terms, it wins.

Plans and payment

Every plan unlocks the same app — they differ only in how you pay:

Monthly — $4.99 per month.
Yearly — $39.99 per year.
Lifetime — $129 once. A one-time purchase, not a subscription. It never renews and never expires.

The monthly and yearly plans include a one-week free trial for new subscribers. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac through Apple's Universal Purchase — you do not pay separately per device.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If you cancel during a free trial, the unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Your data is yours

You own everything you put into the app. We claim no rights over it, and we have no copy of it. If your subscription lapses, your existing trees remain on your device and readable; you can still export them.

What the app does not do

Family Trees is a tool for recording what you know about your family. It does not search historical records, verify anything you enter, or offer genealogical or legal advice. Accuracy is yours to judge.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to store or share material that is unlawful, or to record information about living people who have asked you not to. You are responsible for what you enter and for anything you share.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Keep your own backups — the app provides an export for exactly this reason.
