Family tree template with aunts, uncles and cousins

Free printableUpdated 19 October 2026

Short answerThis template starts with one set of grandparents, then shows each of their children with a partner, then the grandchildren: you, your siblings and your first cousins. A row underneath holds the next generation, who are your first cousins once removed. It is the chart for “how are we all related?” at a gathering.

The template

Blank family tree with aunts, uncles and cousins template: 20 empty boxes for names and years.

Open the file in your browser and print it (choose landscape and “fit to page”), or open it in any app that reads SVG to type into it. Free to print, copy and share.

How to fill it in

  1. Put the grandparents you share with your cousins at the top.
  2. Their children go in the second row: your parent in the middle, aunts and uncles either side.
  3. Cousins go under their own parents. Everyone in that row is a first cousin to everyone else not in their own family.
  4. Their children go in the last row: they are your first cousins once removed.

Who it suits

Reunions and holidays, and anyone untangling which cousin belongs to which aunt.
